Coverage bar

On a normal day, each cell shows a 24-hour bar:
  • Green — has an assigned employee
  • Gray — no shift (open hours)
Open time is calculated from the real intervals in the selected time zone. Overlapping shifts are combined, and 23- or 25-hour days around daylight-saving changes use their actual duration. On those variable-length days, AgencyKey hides the misleading fixed 24-segment bar but keeps the exact interval rows and open-time total visible.

Shift details

Below the bar you’ll see:
  • Time (e.g., 09:00 - 17:00)
  • Repeat icon (if recurring)
  • Employee name and avatar
  • Scroll left — past days (load automatically)
  • Scroll right — future days (load automatically)
  • Date filter — jump to a specific date
Date headers stick to the top of the calendar while you scroll horizontally, so you always see which day each column belongs to.

Coverage outside your employee scope

An interval can appear as Occupied without an employee name when the shift contributes to real creator coverage but the employee identity is outside your data scope. It reduces open time correctly, but it has no edit or delete actions. This avoids exposing an employee while also avoiding a false uncovered interval.

Loading and recovery

If the first schedule load fails, the calendar shows Retry. A failed later request preserves the last confirmed schedule where possible. Group and creator filters are validated together before loading, so an invalid pair is not silently expanded to a broader calendar.

Quick actions

Hover over a shift:
  • Empty cell — plus icon to create shift
  • Filled shift — edit and delete icons
An unusual open interval in a repeated daylight-saving hour, or one whose boundary is more precise than a minute, remains visible but has no create action. Its exact time and time-zone offset explain the interval; this prevents the minute-based editor from saving a different time.
