The desktop app automatically finds a working connection to OnlyFans at launch. This page explains how that works, what the Network Settings dialog shows, and how to plug in your own proxy for the whole app.
Network Settings is available in the desktop (Electron) app only.

How auto-connect works

At launch, AgencyKey tests several connection options in parallel:
  • Direct — your regular internet connection (or active VPN)
  • System Proxy — if your operating system has a proxy configured
  • CLI Proxy — if a proxy was passed when starting the app
  • Every built-in connection server
The app picks the fastest option that can reach both the AgencyKey API and OnlyFans. If the chosen option later stops working, AgencyKey automatically switches to the next healthy one.
A connection is only marked as working when OnlyFans itself is reachable — not just AgencyKey. This means a green server is guaranteed to open OnlyFans.

Opening Network Settings

Two ways to open the dialog:
  1. Click the gear icon in the top-right corner → Network Settings
  2. On the login screen — click the gear icon, then Network Settings at the bottom of the menu
If login fails because of a network issue, the red error banner reads:
Unable to connect to server. Try to change your network settings
The network settings words are a clickable link that opens the dialog directly.

The Network Settings dialog

The dialog has two sections.

Connection Servers

The main section. Shows every option the app can use to reach OnlyFans.
ElementMeaning
DropdownPick a specific connection or leave on auto
Green dot + latency (ms)Option is reachable and opens OnlyFans
Red dot + “not responding”Option is dead or blocked
Spinning dotTest in progress
Refresh icon per rowRe-test that one option
Options you may see in the list:
OptionWhat it is
DirectNo proxy — your internet or VPN. May fail if your provider blocks OnlyFans.
System ProxyProxy configured in your operating system. Appears only if your OS has one.
CLI ProxyProxy passed when launching the app. Appears only if used.
Server 1, Server 2, …Built-in connection servers. Labels and count depend on the current release.
When the app is still loading the list of servers, the dialog shows Initializing proxies… for up to 30 seconds.
Leave the dropdown on the default auto pick unless you want to force a specific server. The app will always prefer the fastest working option.

Application Proxy

Opt-in section for users who have their own proxy.
  • Turn on Use Custom Proxy to route the whole app through your proxy
  • Fill in type (SOCKS5 / HTTP / HTTPS), host, port, and credentials
  • Click Test — save becomes available only after a successful test
Turning on Application Proxy overrides the built-in Connection Servers for the entire app — login, API calls, and every OnlyFans tab. Only enable this if you already have a working proxy of your own.
The Advanced options block shows the equivalent command-line flag and environment variable, for users who prefer to pass the proxy at launch instead of saving it in the UI.

Login and creator windows use the same proxy

Whatever connection is active in Network Settings is used everywhere in the app — the login window, the main CRM, and every creator account tab. The IP you see in Network Settings is the one actually used across all windows.

Network Logs

The Network Logs menu (previously Proxy Logs) records connection tests and switches. Use it when troubleshooting an unreliable connection.

Troubleshooting

Login fails with “Unable to connect to server”

  1. Click the network settings link in the error banner
  2. Check whether any option has a green dot
  3. If all options are red, check your internet and any external VPN
  4. If only Direct is red, pick a green built-in server from the dropdown

A server was green, now it’s red

The app will rotate to another healthy server automatically. You can also click the refresh icon next to the server to re-test it.

OnlyFans loads very slowly

Open Network Settings, compare latencies, and pick a faster server from the dropdown. Keep in mind that a far-away server may be slower even if it shows a green dot.
