The Send To section consists of two parts: Include (who should receive the message) and Exclude (who should not).

Include

Specify which fans should receive the message.

Fan Lists and Smart Lists

Select one or more regular Fan Lists or dynamic Smart Lists. Multiple selection is supported, and each option shows its current fan count. A campaign needs at least one included Fan List or Smart List before it can be launched.

Additional filters

Apply filters to narrow down your audience:

Exclude

Specify which fans should NOT receive the message.

Fan Lists and Smart Lists

Select regular Fan Lists or Smart Lists to exclude. Fans from these lists will not receive the message, even if they match Include criteria.

Recent chats

Enable Exclude recent chats and set a period to skip fans who have recently exchanged messages with the team. This prevents a campaign from interrupting an active conversation.

Is Creator

Checkbox to exclude model/creator accounts from receiving the message. Recommended to keep enabled.

How targeting works

The targeting logic follows this order:
  1. Combine fans from all included Fan Lists and Smart Lists
  2. Apply Additional Filters
  3. Remove fans from excluded Fan Lists and Smart Lists, and apply recent-chat exclusion when enabled
  4. Result = your target audience

Example

  • Include: “VIP Fans” + “Active Buyers”
  • Filter: Total Spend > $50
  • Exclude: “Do Not Disturb”
Result: VIP and active fans who spent more than $50, except those in the “Do Not Disturb” list.

Tips

  • Use filters for precise targeting to maximize engagement
  • Exclude inactive fans to save your daily message limits
  • Save the campaign as a draft and always check the recipient count again before Launch
