# Assignments

> How to assign creators, roles, and groups to employees

## Before you start

Open **Employees → Team Members** and find the employee you want to update. Your role needs the matching action for each change: **Assign creators**, **Assign roles**, or **Change group**. Decide which creators and responsibilities the employee should have before you edit the row.

## Assigning creators

Creators determine which OnlyFans accounts an employee has access to.

The employee also needs the relevant Accounts page permission. A direct creator assignment does not grant actions that the assigned roles do not allow.

### How to assign

1. Click on the **Creators** cell in the table
2. Select creators from the list
3. Click **Save**

### Display

* Creator names separated by commas
* For many creators: +N hidden
* "None" — if no creators assigned

Hover over the cell to see the full list.

## Assigning roles

Roles determine access permissions to system features.

Permissions from multiple roles are combined. For the same permission, the broadest data scope wins.

### How to assign

1. Click on the **Roles** cell in the table
2. Select roles from the list
3. Click **Save**

### Display

* Role names separated by commas
* For many roles: +N hidden
* "None" — if no roles assigned

## Changing group

1. Click on the **Group** cell
2. Select a new group from the tree
3. Click **Save**

The employee will be moved to the new group.

The change applies immediately and can change which employees, creators, and analytics are visible through **Group & Subgroups** scopes.

## Permissions

To edit assignments, you need the appropriate permissions:

* Assign creators
* Assign roles
* Change group

If the pencil icon doesn't appear — you don't have permission for this action.

## Done when

The employee row shows the intended group, roles, and creators. Ask the employee to refresh or sign in again, then confirm that they can open only the intended sections and creator accounts.

## Common issues

| Issue                                                         | What to check                                                                   |
| ------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| A cell cannot be edited | Your role needs the matching assignment action for that cell. |
| A creator is missing from the picker | Confirm that the creator is connected and inside your own data scope. |
| The employee sees the creator but cannot perform an action | Creator assignment and role permissions are separate; review both. |
| The employee sees too much or too little after a group change | Review the data scope on every assigned role, especially **Group & Subgroups**. |
