# Date & Time

> Configure how dates and times are displayed throughout AgencyKey

## Time zone

Sets your local time zone. All times in the interface will be converted to this zone.

**When to change:** Set this to your actual location so timestamps in chats, reports, and schedules match your local time.

  On your first sign-in, AgencyKey opens a required dialog if no time zone is saved yet. Confirm the detected zone or choose another one before continuing.

## How your time zone is applied

Your time zone is saved with your account, so it follows you on any device.

* **Across devices** — the saved zone follows your AgencyKey user account.
* **Across the interface** — chats, schedules, reports, and supported embedded views use the same selected zone.
* **After a change** — the new zone is applied to displayed timestamps and future scheduling input.

<Tip>
  If the saved zone is wrong, open **Settings → Your Preferences → Date & Time**, choose the correct zone, and let the change save.

<Note>
  If preferences cannot load at sign-in, the app temporarily falls back to the computer's time zone until the saved setting loads.
</Note>

## Week starts on

Choose which day begins the week in calendars and weekly reports.

**Options:**

* Monday
* Tuesday
* Wednesday
* Thursday
* Friday
* Saturday
* Sunday

## Time format

Choose how times are displayed.

| Format      | Example           |
| ----------- | ----------------- |
| **24-hour** | 14:30, 23:45      |
| **12-hour** | 2:30 PM, 11:45 PM |

**Tip:** 24-hour format is common in Europe and helps avoid AM/PM confusion.
