# Password Recovery

> How to reset your AgencyKey password

## When you need it

Use password recovery when you:

* Forgot your current password
* Need to reset your password for security reasons
* Suspect unauthorized access to your account

## Recovery process

### Step 1: Access recovery page

On the login page, click the **"Forgot password?"** link located below the password field.

### Step 2: Choose the new password

1. Enter your registered email address.
2. Enter and confirm the new password.
3. Click **Save password** and complete the captcha.

AgencyKey then sends a confirmation code to that email.

### Step 3: Confirm the reset

1. Check your inbox for the AgencyKey message.
2. Enter its **8-character confirmation code**.
3. Click **Continue**.

The code is time-limited, so use it promptly. Requesting another code replaces the previous one; always enter the most recent code.

**Password requirements:**

* Minimum 8 characters
* At least one uppercase letter
* At least one lowercase letter
* At least one number

### Step 4: Success

You'll see a **"Password reset successful"** message. Click **"Back to sign in"** and log in with your new password.

For account protection, a successful reset signs you out of every existing AgencyKey session.

## Troubleshooting

### Didn't receive the code?

* Check your spam/junk folder
* Wait a few minutes and request a new code
* Verify you entered the correct email address

### Code not working?

* Follow the expiry shown in the message and request a new code if needed.
* Always use the most recent code received; an older code stops working after resend.
* The code can be entered in uppercase or lowercase.

### No access to email?

Contact support for assistance. Identity verification will be required to recover your account.
