# First Agency Setup

> Set up a new AgencyKey workspace in the right order

Use this checklist after creating an agency. It puts security, data sharing, team access, and billing decisions before daily work begins.

## Platform requirements

| Task                                                                      | Web app | Desktop app |
| ------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------- | ----------- |
| Create the agency, manage the team, roles, reports, settings, and billing | Yes | Yes |
| Connect or reconnect an OnlyFans creator | No | Required |
| Work in the built-in OnlyFans view and switch between creator sessions | No | Required |
| Use desktop keyboard shortcuts | No | Yes |

Use a current version of a supported browser for the web app and the latest AgencyKey desktop release for creator connections. The browser extension adds supported in-page tools, but it does not replace the desktop app for connecting creators.

## Setup checklist

### 1. Create and verify the Owner account

Register with an email you control, verify it using the most recent code from AgencyKey, and sign in. The first sign-in asks you to confirm your time zone before you continue.

### 2. Secure the CRM account

Open **Settings → Account**, upload a profile image if needed, and enable at least one two-factor authentication method. Save the recovery codes before closing the setup dialog.

See [CRM account security](./account-security).

### 3. Install the desktop app

[Download and install the latest AgencyKey desktop app](https://agencykey.com/download) on each computer that will connect creators or use the built-in OnlyFans workspace. Sign in with each person's own AgencyKey account; do not share the Owner login.

### 4. Connect the first creator

In the desktop app, open **Accounts**, click **Add Creator**, choose the available proxy option, and complete the sign-in in the OnlyFans window. Additional OnlyFans verification may be requested.

Follow [Adding Accounts](/docs/accounts/adding) for the full connection and verification flow.

### 5. Review data sharing before regular work

For new agencies, **AI Recon Sharing** and **Platform Stats Sharing** default to **Entire CRM**. This is the broadest sharing pool.

To opt out for one creator, open **Accounts** and change the relevant sharing chip to **Don't share**. To change the agency default, use **Sharing settings** on the Accounts page. Review both fields because they are configured separately.

See [Data Sharing](/docs/accounts/data-sharing).

### 6. Create groups and roles

Create the group structure first, then review the permissions of the starter roles or create custom roles. Grant only the pages, actions, and data scope each job needs.

See [Roles](/docs/roles) and [Groups](/docs/team-members/groups).

### 7. Invite team members

Invite each person with their own email, place them in the correct group, and assign only the required roles and creators. Ask the recipient to use the invitation promptly.

Use [Managing Employees](/docs/team-members/employees) to invite them and [Assignments](/docs/team-members/assignments) to verify roles, group, and creators.

### 8. Review billing

Open **Billing** to check the agency balance, each creator's trial or subscription status, upcoming charges, and the people who may top up or manage renewals.

See [Billing](/docs/billing).

## Before you hand off the workspace

* Keep the Owner account with the agency owner.
* Give Admin only to people who require full operational access.
* Confirm that every employee has the intended group, role, creator assignments, and data scope.
* Confirm the sharing level for every connected creator.
* Store CRM recovery codes somewhere secure and separate from the signed-in computer.
* Keep enough agency balance for upcoming renewals.

## How to confirm the setup is ready

Your first setup is complete when:

* the Owner can sign in with 2FA and has the recovery codes;
* the first creator shows **Connected**;
* a test employee can sign in with their own account and sees only the assigned creators and features;
* the agency has reviewed both sharing defaults and the current billing state;
* the team knows whether daily work must be done in the web app or desktop app.

Continue with [Manager First Day](/docs/getting-started/manager) or [Chatter First Shift](/docs/getting-started/chatter) before handing daily work to the team.
